Hey there,

Don't worry, I'm not suggesting you put down the Cheetos and walk away from the tacos, I'm talking about what we consume by way of what we watch, read and hear.  What we allow into our world.

Television, radio, movies, YouTube, social media, SnapChat, the internet in general, news shows, politics, magazines, we are constantly inundated with information to consume. And we can't leave out...

Not meeting expectations, high expectations, low expectations or anything in between, expectations can trip us up.

We hold onto what we expect, even if it's not what we want because maybe going out on that limb of change is too scary. Staying the same feels safe. The unknown, not so much.

We tell ourselves, "this is how it is, and I don't expect it to change."

We all have things we want to accomplish, an inner calling, a stirring that doesn't go away. Or maybe we just want a little less drama and a little more peace.

Sometimes situations just suck. I found myself in one of those just a few days ago.

On our last day we had it all planned out. We were going to visit a little town that promised to h...

Stop. Drop. And Play.

Confession: I'm in Puerto Rico enjoying the beach, the wildly colorful buildings of San Juan, exploring fortresses built in the 1500s,  and am about to go on a trek through the rain forest, so this is going to be short and sweet.

Another confession: Playtime is crucial to my well-being. And I know I'm not alone here.

But how many of us actually give ourselves permission to play, to trav...
